Horses of Brazos Carriage

The horses of Brazos Carriage receive the best of care and grooming. They get new shoes, regular veterinary checks, annual shots, and regular dental care. They are fed well and spend a lot of time in our green pastures doing what ever they want. On average they work one or two days a week except for the Christmas holiday season. These horses are our business partners, and they're practically treated like children. They live at our home with us in the country and we enjoy having them with us. Our Horses

Max

A six year old dark dapple grey Percheron gelding. Like all white horses he was born black and will turn to white as he ages. Rock

A ten year old grey Percheron gelding that comes to us from Jim and Becky's Carriage Service of Chicago IL. He is handsome, flashy, and all business in harness. He works alone on the wedding carriage or with Max on the wagon and funeral coach.

Pudge

A 14 year old roan Belgian. Bought by the pound on his way to slaughter 10 years ago. Pudge is a "been there, done that" guy. He has worked for 8 years as a carriage horse in downtown Fort Worth. He takes care of his driver.

Stoney and Abraham

Stoney and Abraham have retired from carriage work here at Brazos Carriage to become movie stars. They work now for a couple who own many antique horse-drawn vehicles and lease themselves out as movie props. Watch for Stoney and Abraham on the History Channel as they will be staring in a upcoming documentary on Fort Worth.
