The Highland Park Christmas Light Tradition

Touring the beautiful lights and homes of Highland Park has been a grand tradition of the holiday season for many years. The leisurely pace of a horse-drawn carriage ride allows you to see and appreciate the beauty of the homes and lights of Highland Park at this joyous time of the year. We are delighted to offer carriage service in Highland Park again this year and hope you will come to spend an hour of your holiday with us.

Announcements

A second pick-up location has been added. See the Pick-up Locations section below. If your Carriage booking ends with “CC” in the description, your pick-up location is the new location at 4208 Wycliff Ave, Dallas, TX 75219. The rides will still be the same. The locations are very close together. The second location will minimize congestion and overcrowding at busy times.

On-Site Security: Security personnel will be monitoring the pickup area at the Transwestern Building throughout the evening. Anyone found damaging property (including flowers, landscaping, or fixtures) or using the area as a restroom will be asked to leave immediately. In these cases, rides will not be refunded, and the property owners may issue fines.

All the carriages will be equipped with Bluetooth speakers this year. Bring your favorite holiday music.

Pick-up Locations

The Transwestern Building at 3811 Turtle Creek Blvd, Dallas, TX 75219

This is the location we have used for several years. There’s no access to the inside of the Transwestern Building, and no public restrooms at this location.

There will be free parking in the parking garage at the Transwestern Building. Look for the Guest Parking spaces in the parking garage. Guests may not arrive or enter the parking garage before 6:00 PM. Early entry is not permitted by the property owner.

St. Seraphim Orthodox Cathedral, 4208 Wycliff Ave, Dallas, TX 75219

This is your pick-up location if your Carriage booking ends with “CC” in the description. Parking will be available at this location.

The FAQ

1. We provide the ride and Christmas tunes. You are welcome to bring hot chocolate and snacks, but please be courteous and do not leave behind spills and trash for the next passengers.

2. We do not provide blankets. If you'd like a blanket, you will need to bring one from home.

3. Please arrive a few minutes before your scheduled time. The rides are 1 hour long - there is a 15-minute break between each ride for the horses to get a drink and catch a breather. We will not interrupt their break or the next scheduled ride should you choose to be tardy. Your ride will just be shortened accordingly.

4. Weather - Canceling due to weather is up to our discretion. Rain can mean slick streets and low visibility. Safety is our number one priority. Should we feel the weather could cause dangerous street conditions for horses, clients, or drivers - we will contact you by 3 p.m. the day of your ride. You will be given the option to either reschedule your ride or receive a refund.

5. No refunds unless we cancel due to hazardous weather conditions- should something arise - we will be happy to reschedule your ride with 24 hours advance notice. There’s a $50 rescheduling fee.

6. Our prices have increased to reflect overall inflation, rising insurance costs, Highland Park taxes, and the cost of additional on-site security to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience. We hope you will understand.

All rides must be scheduled through the online reservation system, links at the top of this page, and must be paid for in full in advance. Please be sure that you receive a confirmation email after booking your reservation. If you don't get an email confirming your reservation, you probably don't have one.

By using the online reservation system to schedule your holiday light tour, you agree to pay for this service and understand that it is a non-refundable service.
